About the film
Join us for a special morning program featuring Recuerdos de mi Abuelo, a mini telenovela created to spark conversation around dementia in Latino communities. Told through the lens of a multigenerational Latinx family in the U.S., the story follows their emotional journey after their grandfather’s diagnosis. Following the screening, stay for a panel discussion with leaders from the University of Houston’s CARMA Lab, the Alzheimer’s Association, and the Kinder Institute for Urban Research to learn about memory health, caregiving support, and local resources.
This program is a part of INNERsections series, a communal space to intersect arts, health, and humanities through film and dialogue. Learn more about the series and view upcoming program dates here.
