DeBakey Cell Lab

Masks are required in the DeBakey Cell Lab.

Tickets are available on Thursdays, between 11:00 am and 7:00 pm (last ticket sold at 6:00 pm). Please check back soon for updated dates and times.

Does the Museum offer AAA or student discounts?

No, currently the Museum does not offer these discounts.

Can I buy a Museum for All ticket online?

No, you must show your card in person to benefit from the Museum for All discount.

Can I use my Children's Museum membership to get in free at the Health Museum since both are ASTC members?

No, the ASTC rules stipulate that you must be 90 miles or more from your home museum to get in free at another member museum.

If I buy my ticket online and arrive later than the scheduled admission time, may I still use the ticket?

Yes, the ticket will still be valid.

If I buy my ticket online, can I change it for another day?

Yes, the Museum can reschedule the ticket time.

Can I buy a DeBakey Cell lab ticket without buying a general admission ticket?

No, you must first buy a general admission ticket.

Do we still have to wear masks, even if we have been vaccinated?

No, in keeping with the CDC guidelines, masks are recommended but not required in the museum. Masks will still be required in the DeBakey Cell Lab..

Do I have to pre-register online for my tickets?

Museum visitors are not required to purchase tickets online to visit the museum, they can also purchase tickets through walk-ins.

Do I still have to purchase General Admission tickets if I only want to go to the DeBakey Cell Lab?

Yes, Museum visitors still must purchase tickets for General Admission to purchase tickets to go into the DeBakey Cell Lab.

As a member of the Association of Science and Technology Centers Passport Program, Museum members and ASTC reciprocal members receive free general admission to The Health Museum. *Free general admission valid for household family members or grandparents and grandchildren up to six people. Proof of residence required: Must be redeemed in person with a valid ASTC membership card. Not a member? Join today!

The Health Museum is a proud participant of Museums for All. When you present your EBT card, you will receive a discounted general admission ticket of $3.00 for up to a family of four. Click here for more information.

Blue Star Museums is a collaboration among the National Endowment for the Arts, Blue Star Families, the Department of Defense, and offers free admission to the nation’s active-duty military personnel and their families, including National Guard and Reserve. The 2023 Blue Star Museums program begins on Armed Forces Day, Saturday, May 20, 2023, and ends on Labor Day, Monday, September 4, 2023.

Partnering with Ride Metro we are offering 50% off admission and 20% off in the Amazing Body Store. Show fare ticket from that day at the admissions desk.
