It is with a very heavy heart that we share the unexpected passing of our Board Chair, Susan L. Bickley, on April 1, 2026.
Susan cared deeply about The Health Museum and our mission, and she led with vision, generosity, and a steadfast belief in our work. She gave so much of her time and energy to ensure our success, and her leadership has left a lasting impact on all of us.
She was also incredibly kind and gracious, always taking the time to connect with the Museum staff and make people feel seen, valued, and appreciated. That warmth was part of what made her such a special leader and person. For those of us who worked with her directly, she was a mentor, a trusted collaborator, and a friend.
