This fascinating, all-new exhibit is designed to ignite curiosity, understanding, and awe for the human body for visitors of all ages.
Gear up with a lab coat, gloves, and goggles, and get up close with cellular biology (available in English & Spanish).
Live Organ Dissection Demonstrations
Join us for a live organ dissection and a fun-filled family game of trivia bursting with a wide range of entertaining questions for all ages.
Can I reserve my tickets in person?
Free Family Thursday tickets must be reserved online in advance as we are currently operating on a first-come, first-serve basis.
What are the museum’s Free Family Thursday hours?
Our Free Family Thursday hours are from 2-6 PM every Thursday. There will be occasional closures for private events or adverse weather conditions.
Is re-entry allowed after leaving the museum?
For the safety and enjoyment of our guests, re-entry is not permitted once you have exited the Museum during Free Family Thursday hours. We recommend planning your visit accordingly to make the most of your time with us. Thank you for your understanding.
Can I use my ASTC discount on Free Family Thursday?
ASTC discounts cannot be applied during Free Family Thursday, as admission is complimentary to all visitors. Your ASTC discount may be used at any other time during museum hours.
Can I reschedule my tickets for another date or time?
Free Family Thursday tickets are non-transferable and valid only for the date and time selected. Please review your schedule before reserving your tickets.
What happens if I arrive late for my time-entry ticket?
Guests arriving within 15 minutes of their scheduled entry time will still be accommodated. Beyond this grace period, entry will be subject to availability and we cannot guarantee access.
Is parking available at the museum?
Yes, we have parking available on our surface lot for our visitors. Parking is $8 per vehicle. If the lot is full there is parking across the street in Hermann Park or on the street.
Are food and drinks allowed in the museum?
For the preservation of the exhibits and the comfort of our guests, food and drinks are not permitted in the exhibit areas. Snacks and drinks are available for purchase in the museum store, but may not be taken onto the museum floor.
Is the museum wheelchair accessible?
Yes, the museum is fully wheelchair accessible. We strive to ensure that all guests enjoy their visit. For additional accessibility needs please contact guest services prior to your visit.
Are pets allowed in the museum?
Only service animals are permitted inside the museum.
