Rock Painting and Organ Donation

In commemorating April’s Donate Life Month, The Health Museum collaborated with Monica Emerson through healing rock painting.

Remember Jordan Emerson

In 2019 Jordan Emerson gained his angel wings and saved lives through organ donation. Monica Emerson, Jordan’s mom and a dedicated volunteer at LifeGift Ambassador of Hope—honors his memory by hand painting Donate Life rocks and create awareness about organ, eye, and tissue donation, one rock at a time.

Over 200 guests at The Health Museum’s Free Family Thursday participated in the rock painting activity. Many were touched by the messages of hope, the power of healing, and were encouraged to become organ donors. The painted Rocks is now on display in the Health Museum’s Education hallway. They serve as reminders of the transformative power of organ donation and compassion.

“It’s so important to know your family member’s wishes on organ donation. That will make the process easier for you and for them. And nothing tops the joy of seeing the lives of your loved ones continuing on those who received the help.”

Monica’s Message to the Community

Monica’s key message is the transformative power of organ donation. Through her advocacy and artistic expression, she aims to convey that every individual has the potential to save lives and leave a lasting legacy through the gift of donation. The Health Museum expresses our gratitude for the opportunity to share Jordan’s story and host a healing arts activity encouraging others to make positive choices for their health, for themselves, and the community.
