Join local artist La’Toya Smith as she teaches through paint and collage, while exploring healing with traditional arts methods. Art isn’t just decoration — it’s a revolution inside you. With every brushstroke, beat, or dance step, you’re not just surviving-you’re transforming it into something powerful, beautiful, and uniquely yours


Creative Studio is more than just making art—it’s about unlocking the power of creativity to inspire, connect, and heal. Artistic expression can spark new perspectives and nurture well-being. Our workshops are designed to ignite your imagination, deepen your understanding of yourself and the world, and help you find balance, resilience, and healing.
Workshop Schedule
Creative Studio workshops will occur on selected Sundays from 1:00 pm to 4:00 pm. Please plan to arrive 10-15 minutes early to ensure the class can start on time. No prior experience is required, but artists can support more skilled guests in deepening their practice.

Program Tickets
Tickets are $35 for members and $45 for non-members. Not a member yet? Become a member today to receive discounts for this event and enjoy free museum admission for an entire year, plus extra benefits. Membership pays for itself in as little as two visits!
Creative Studio tickets include admission to the museum, art materials, snacks, and non-alcoholic beverages. Guests 12 and under must be accompanied by an adult. Tickets cannot be refunded, but can be reassigned to another class date.

Lilibeth Andre
Andre combines technical training in architectural design and art with an education in traditional naturopathy, and a spiritual and energy practice to find and express a personalized holistic balance approach.
Mathieu JN Baptiste
Baptiste is an acclaimed artist who specializes in painting, drawing, metal sculpture, and murals. His social compass resonates throughout his works.

Luana Da Silva
Luana is a multidisciplinary Brazilian performing artist and mental health worker passionate about cultivating embodiment through shared cultural practices of movement, rhythm, and vocalizing. Luana is guided by weaving her experiences as a community-based artist, trauma-healing focused therapist, and as someone who has experienced “coming home” to their body through the healing power of cultural arts.

La’Toya Smith
Painter, educator, graphic designer, muralist, and gallerist, Smith has immersed herself in the creative community to inspire others and build connections.

Sarah Sudhoff
Sarah Sudhoff is a Cuban-American artist born in Honolulu, Hawaii, and based in Houston, Texas. She uses data, performances, photography, prints, sound, and video to unpack the gun violence epidemic’s ongoing sociocultural impacts, the psychological landscapes of caregiving and motherhood, sexuality and gender-based violence, and heritage and transgenerational memory.

Reaffirming our past experiences and how they contribute to our present strength, wisdom, and health.

Starting with how our bodies can maintain balance, then our emotions, mental state, and larger factors that influence our lives.

Understanding the role of dreams, the mind, and human experience, and how our dreams can lead to larger insights into ourselves.
Memories
Learning how memories are stored in our minds and bodies, and how we can access memories.
Emotions
Exploring the emotional spectrum through biological and psychological models, and diving deep into specific expressions like curiosity and wonder.
