Heartstring Unraveled – An Off-Beat Valentine’s Day Adventure

Nothing says “romance” like a hands-on heart dissection.

Heartstrings Unraveled at The Health Museum might not be your typical Valentine’s Date night choice, but it was certainly a night to remember.

The guests were charmed by the night — with a combination of romance, a delicious dinner, and an off-beat learning experience.

A Night of Love and Learning

Guests began their evening by having their portraits drawn by a talented caricature artist: Steven Simon — as a memento like no other. They then took a stroll around our museum exhibits and The Amazing Body Store. The three-course meal was delectable, and the Stupid Cupid Cosmo drinks from the bar were a hit!

The Heart of the Matter

Then came the moment everyone had been waiting for – the heart dissection. Guided by museum educators and Dr. Johnathan Zalamea, guests had the opportunity to delve into the intricacies of this vital organ, amid a heart-themed playlist, featuring classics like “Tearing Up My Heart” and “Achy Breaky Heart”.

The reactions varied from awe to shock, to amazement, and yes, even a touch of disgust (yuck – but we loved it)!

“The coolest thing we’ve ever done!”

“Whoever came up with this idea is a genius!”
