During our Museum's closure due to COVID-19, Ursula was able to find peace by staying active, courtesy of her BCycle membership and by using the bike share station at our Museum location to take regular bike rides. Below, read Ursula's BCycle journey in her own words.
"During the COVID-19 crisis, I wanted to continue being active. I am a morning person, so sleeping in, was not an option for me. As much as I tried, to stay in bed and rest, I was awake most days at 6:00 am or earlier.
As I navigated my way through the pandemic, I realized two things; I wanted to do something that kept me active and I wanted to have peace. Peace over my mind, body, and spirit. I knew that I had no control over COVID-19 but, I did have some control over how I faired through it.
When I ride the Bcycle I feel happy, free, and driven to accomplish my daily exercise goal. My goal is to stay fit and still have an opportunity to see other people (from a distance). I am very much a people person, in my position at The Health Museum and personally.
I am SO happy to have the opportunity to be a member of Bcycle and enjoy the awesome benefits of ride share and to be employed by The Health Museum, for over nineteen years. The awesome benefits of being a member of the Museum is endless and I am well!!!
