About the Program

The Healing Arts Initiative explores the intersections of art, culture, and medicine to ultimately reduce harm, relieve social suffering, and promote positive health behaviors for all. Designed to complement and deepen The Health Museum’s STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Mathematics) education, our vision is to empower healthier living through connection and belonging for all.

By integrating literature from creative therapies and arts research, we foster a holistic approach to well-being, empowering individuals and communities through the transformative power of the arts. Recognizing the importance of culture, we design our programs to embrace diverse cultural perspectives, ensuring that all voices are heard and respected, which is essential for fostering true connection and understanding.
