We're so happy to see you!

In following with the CDC guidelines for COVID-19, you will find that some things have changed to ensure that all of our guests have a safe, stress-free visit. The following guidelines were thoughtfully put in place to help you maximize your Museum experience in the safest way possible.

Masks

In following the CDC guidelines, we recommend the wearing of masks while in the museum, but they are not required. We will, however, still require masks in the DeBakey Cell Lab. The Health Museum has masks for purchase for $1 in the Amazing Body store.

Plan Ahead

We strongly encourage you to purchase your tickets in advance here and select 'print at home' tickets for minimal-touch or touch-free entry. Purchasing tickets ahead of time online will also help you avoid the wait upon arrival.

Our Museum hours:

  • CLOSED Monday
  • 10:00 am - 5:00 pm Tuesday, Wednesday, Friday, and Saturday
  • 10:00 am - 7:00 pm Thursday (Free Family Thursday Hours are 2:00 pm - 7:00 pm)
  • 12:00 pm - 5:00 pm Sunday

Here is what we are doing...

While we were closed, The Health Museum invested a significant amount of time in making sure that the Museum could safely open to serve the Greater Houston community. Our primary focus was to make sure that our staff as well as our visitors are protected and remain safe throughout their time in the Museum. All Museum staff has gone through mandatory training on cleanliness and social distancing practices to ensure a safe environment. We have kept these practices in place:

  • Sanitized Parking tokens used to exit the Museum parking lot
  • Hand sanitizing dispensers throughout the Museum
  • Enhanced cleaning of all door handles, handrails, elevator buttons, and high-touch areas
  • Sanitization throughout the museum at the beginning and the end of each day
  • We have increased the flow of fresh air ventilation throughout the Museum

This is your part...

  • Have your e-tickets out and ready to be scanned when you approach the visitor services desk.
  • For your own safety and the safety of others, please follow all of the above recommendations. We reserve the right to refuse entry to any person not following these policies

Please follow us on Instagram, Facebook, Twitter, and YouTube for our digital uploads including videos featuring special guests, our science educators, and more!

Above all, be well and be kind.
