An Extended Camp Days option (7:45 a.m. – 5 p.m.) is available during all camp sessions for $40 per child per week.

Camp Registration

Registration begins:

  • Summer Discovery: Register now!
  • Winter Discovery Camp: October

Camps are filled on a first-come, first-served basis. Due to high demand for camp spaces, all sales are considered final. Once your registration and payment have been processed, an email containing a link to your confirmation packet will be sent to you within 5 business days.

During the camp season, camps that are full will be posted as such on our website. If a camp is full, your registration and payment will not be processed, and you will be contacted promptly so that you can make other arrangements. You will have the option of placing your camper on a wait list.

Off-Site Camps

In collaboration with the University of Houston’s ScienceCamp program, The Health Museum is pleased to offer off-site camps in Clear Lake, Katy, Sugar Land and The Woodlands. Visit the ScienceCamp site to register or for more information.

Scholarships

Financial aid will be available on a first-come, first-served basis to families who demonstrate need.

Financial aid is limited, and each student with need may only receive financial aid once during the calendar year.

To apply for financial aid, submit a completed scholarship application with your student's top three choices for camp selections, a copy of your family’s most recent Federal Tax Return (1040), a letter from the student applicant stating why the student wants to attend our camp program and a copy of your camper's 2012-2013 report card.

You may also download a copy of the 2013 Summer Discovery Camp Scholarship Application by clicking on the documents tab to the left.

Applicants that are awarded a scholarship will be notified of receipt of a financial aid award. Scholarships are awarded for the cost of the camp only and does not include Extended Camp Days. Incomplete applications are not accepted. Please email your scholarship and/or financial aid questions to camps@thehealthmuseum.org. No phone calls please.

We will begin accepting scholarship applications for Summer Discovery Camps 2013 at 10:00 a.m. (C.S.T.) on Monday, April 1, 2013. Applications submitted prior to this will not be considered. Incomplete applications are not accepted.
